Major tariff adjustments related to tire products!
On December 28, the Office of the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council issued an announcement on the adjustment of import and export tariffs.
The announcement stated that from 2023, the country will adjust the import and export tariffs of some commodities.
These adjustments are mainly made in accordance with domestic industrial development and changes in supply and demand.
Among them, for commodities such as refurbished tires for aircraft, the provisional import tax rate will be cancelled, and the most-favored-nation tax rate will be restored.
It is understood that the provisional tax rate for this category of goods in 2023 is 4%;
After adjustment, the most-favored-nation tax rate for aircraft retreaded tires in 2023 is 20%.
In addition, for some commodities under 19 agreements and originating in 29 countries or regions, the agreed tax rate will be implemented.
These include the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP), the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) and the Cross-Strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA), among others.
Part of Indonesia's imported goods benefit from the RCEP agreement, and the agreed tax rate will apply from January 2, 2023.
